PALFINGER Marine Norway Offshore Cranes, Winches, Handling and Access Equipment (OC & WHA) group are strengthen the engineering team with a team leader position for the control system department.
The team consists of control system / automation engineers sitting in Bergen (Norway) and Gdynia (Poland) who are involved in the equipment’s entire life cycle, from developing new equipment and solutions, working directly in projects, supporting production, testing, commissioning and service. The position is in the Bergen office located at Nesttun. The team leader reports directly to the OC & WHA Engineering manager.
Join our Engineering team in Bergen (Nesttun) and lead a skilled group of Control System & Automation Engineers across Norway and Poland. As Team Lead, you will manage people, drive technical solutions, and contribute hands‑on to cutting‑edge offshore and marine equipment development.
_____Your Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and support the control systems engineering team, ensuring efficient workflows and high‑quality deliveries.
- Oversee technical solutions for control systems, working closely with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and R&D disciplines.
- Plan, assign, and follow up engineering tasks while reporting progress to Project and Engineering Management.
- Contribute technically through design and development of PLC‑based control systems, OT networks, and cyber‑secure architectures.
- Support testing, commissioning, and service activities for advanced offshore equipment (some travel required).

Your qualifications:
- MSc/BSc in Automation, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or similar—leadership experience is an advantage.
- Strong PLC/HMI/SCADA skills (Siemens TIA Portal experience preferred).
- Experience with frequency drives, OT networks, and cyber security; motion-compensated systems is a plus.
- People management experience
- Fluent in English
