PALFINGER is searching for a Forklift Mechanic and Assembler to work with our Production team. This position is located in Charlotte, NC, reporting to the General Manager. This is an entry level position that we will train as needed. 

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading truck mounted forklift base assembly from shipping container utilizing a forklift.
• Perform various material handling duties as required to support forklift assembly.
• Perform light electrical work on the incomplete forklift including LED light installation.
• Perform light mechanical work on the incomplete forklift include tire and fork installation, as well as miscellaneous accessories.
• Install decals on machine prior to shipment.
• Perform final function tests of machine and complete all quality control paperwork.
• Troubleshoot and remedy any deficiencies discovered during quality control procedures.

Your Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring
• Must be physically able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 75lbs+ for extended periods of time
• 1-2 years experience as a mechanic.
• Must be able operate a forklift.
• Must speak, read and write English.
• Must supply own tools.
• Palfinger proprietary tools will be provided.
