Join PALFINGER as you lead complex, cross‑functional projects that shape the future of our product lifecycle management (PLM) efforts across North America. In this role, you will manage end‑to‑end project execution, collaborate with global and regional teams, and drive alignment across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and commercial functions. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that key product, module, research, and outsourcing projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to defined targets. This position reports to the NAM Regional Head of Engineering and is based in Council Bluffs, IA.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle project management across product, module, research, and outsourcing initiatives, ensuring successful planning, execution, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project scopes, goals, deliverables, timelines, schedules, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate across procurement, R&D, quality, supplier quality, industrial engineering, operations, sales, and finance to align targets, share knowledge, and track progress.
  • Identify project risks early, implement mitigation plans, manage changes, and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings, standups, retrospectives, and performance reviews while driving continuous improvement within your project areas.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or similar discipline; mechatronics or steel construction fields welcome.
  • 5–7 years of project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, with strong command of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methods.
  • Excellent communication skills—including technical writing and spoken English—with Spanish and/or German proficiency as a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and SAP ERP, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, and influencing cross‑functional/global teams; PMP/CAPM/Agile certification preferred. Travel up to 30%, including international.
