PALFINGER is searching for a Spare Parts Logistics Coordinator to work in our New Iberia, LA location. We are located at 912 HWY 90. E, New Iberia, La. 70560. This position is onsite and reports to the Assistant Spares Manager.
_____Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize company's ERP purchasing system to process purchase orders from requisitions. Reporting improvement opportunities to Assistant Spares Manager.
- Assist Assistant Spares Manager with maintaining proper inventory stock levels for regularly used supplies
- Analyze root causes of accounts payable exceptions and takes steps to resolve and prevent, manage the timely arrival of inventory via purchasing expediting tracking reports, performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested
- Ability to strategically partner with suppliers to negotiate optimal agreements, expedite deliveries of equipment and supplies, and recover induced cost, follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive on time and are in good condition, maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
- Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment to prevent issues and incidents.
- Participating in educational opportunities and programs to maintain and develop professional and product know-how. Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations in order to accomplish department and corporate mission and objectives.
- Work flexible hours and overtime if needed. Superior can delegate other tasks within competence level of the employee.
Your Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- 2+ years of purchasing experience, preferably withing manufacturing or industrial services.
- 2+ years of MRO purchasing (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and provide status updates to customers and suppliers is essential.
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform administrative activities in support of the purchasing function.
