The Business Development Manager shapes and drives the long-term vision for key industrial segments within PALFINGER Marine,with a strong focus on supporting strategic growth areas. The role ensures that new business opportunities, innovative products, andmust‑win initiatived are successfully developed, tracked and translated into tangible commercial results.
_____Your Responsibilities
- Develop segment strategies in close collaboration with Sales, Service, Product Groups, and R&D, ensuring a deepunderstanding of customer and dealer needs
- Drive market entry of innovative product, generating market needs, identifying test customers, and creating strong market pull
- Build deep industrial segment knowledge —particularly within global megatrend and renewable sectors and develop tailoredoffering packages for products and services
- Train and enable the sales organization on segment-specific requirements to ensure successful go‑to‑market execution
- Track and steer must‑win initiatives defined by the management team, ensuring clear performance visibility and progress
Your Qualifications
- Experience in business development, preferably within marine, offshore, or related industrial sectors, with strong analytical andstrategic capabilities
- Solid understanding of marine industry customer segments, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends such as renewables
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, enabling effective collaboration across global and regional teams
- Hands‑on, independent working style combined with the ability to translate strategy into executable projects and businesscases
- Fluent English and a high willingness to travel globally

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 53.241,02 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conforming overpayment.
