PALFINGER USA, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Tiffin, OH. This role supports the procurement of all repair parts for the Company's Service Technicians. This position reports to the Service Support Manager.
_____Your Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities in the ERP system, including creating and backfilling purchase orders, reconciling invoices, and maintaining vendor accounts and credit terms.
- Monitor and update parts information, pricing, and part IDs; gather vendor details to support technicians with availability, lead times, and alternatives for limited or delayed parts.
- Oversee inventory operations such as warehouse transfers, issuing parts to repair orders, moving materials between jobs, and supporting physical counts and audits.
- Coordinate shipping and logistics by preparing labels, quoting freight, creating Bills of Lading, and arranging shipments to technicians, locations, and job sites.
- Provide frequent order status updates to service teams and collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve parts or purchasing challenges.
- Maintain accurate parts data and documentation to support future service needs and inquiries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
Your Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; additional skills certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- 1-2 years of experience in a general clerical role or one year of experience in the truck equipment or crane equipment industry preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
